Meet Your Doula

Why I Love to Serve as a Postpartum Doula

Throughout history, the time after a birth was held sacred and women surrounded the new mom and baby for over a month. They provided round the clock support with healthy meals, help with self-care and recovery, taking turns helping with the baby so mother could rest. It was a time of great joy, lots of learning, and coming together as a community.

Times have changed and all too often new parents find themselves without much needed support. It is my hope that I can help bridge this gap between past and present by providing a much-needed service that helps mom recover, baby receive needed attention, and families come together and thrive during this precious period of time.

I love when I hear from a mother say, “I fell asleep and woke up and it was morning!”

It makes my heart feel so warm that I could help give mom what she needs the most at this time, REST.

I love helping families during this sacred transition, and my work with children and families has shown how vital emotional health is for the mother, baby, and family. That means that everyone is getting the time they need. Siblings need one-on-one time with parent(s), baby need basic needs met round the clock, mom needs to rest and recover, and parents need time to connect with each other.

I try to be a calm, peaceful, and non-intrusive presence to help relieve the tension by providing time for the family during this delicate period of transition.

I look forward to seeing how I can help your family during postpartum transition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at gbabydoula2012@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A virtual postpartum doula provides emotional support, education, reassurance, and guidance during the postpartum period — all from the comfort of your home. While I’m not physically present, you still receive consistent, personalized care through calls, voice notes, and messaging support.

This support is for mothers with newborns, infants, and toddlers who want guidance, reassurance, and a safe space to process the challenges of motherhood. It’s especially helpful if you don’t have a strong support system nearby or need flexible, ongoing support.

You can ask about:

  • Postpartum emotional wellbeing
  • Infant sleep, feeding, and routine
  • Toddler transitions and challenge
  • Identity shifts in motherhood
  • Managing overwhelm, anxiety, or burnout
  • Building confidence and trust in your parenting instincts

If something falls outside my scope, I’ll help connect you with appropriate resources.

No. Virtual postpartum doula support is non-clinical and non-medical. It does not replace therapy, mental health care, or medical advice, but it can beautifully complement those supports.

You can send voice messages or texts at any time. I respond during set business hours and offer compassionate, timely support — including reassurance during those late-night moments when you need it most. Emergency situations should always be directed to medical professionals.

That’s okay — most mothers don’t. Our weekly calls help uncover what support will be most helpful for you, and messaging support allows questions to arise naturally in real time.

Not at all. While many clients are in the early weeks after birth, I support mothers throughout the first years of parenthood, including toddlerhood and major transitions.

Many mothers find that two or more months of support allows for deeper connection, consistency, and confidence. One month is a great starting point if you’re in an especially tender or overwhelming season.

Life with little ones is unpredictable. We’ll work together to reschedule when possible within the same week.

Simply book your package, and you’ll receive a welcome email with next steps, scheduling details, and access to support.
